I've seen various dates referenced here in folks' sigs (serialize, etc.). In the lower right part of Mustang window stickers is a date.
What does the window sticker date signify?

 

It's the expiration / born on date, if you don't buy / or they don't sell the car by then,..... it goes into "must sell by" whatever the date for $12,500.00.
Fresh Mustangs = top price
expired Mustangs = 1/2 price

Not really sure, sitting here looking at mine.

My guess is the born on date........mine is 08-15-06

 

I was told some time ago that is the day the car was built or a day or two after. It get's placed on the car towards the end of the line so it could be the day after it was built, or 2 days if it was built Friday and finshed getting off the line Monday.

 

I called Ford today to get my build date for a registry. The build date was 11/02/05 and the date on my sticker is 10/25/05.

 

You are quite correct - it is NOT the build date. Easy to tell in your case since your door jam label shows yours as being built in 11/05.
My window sticker is dated 5/19/06 and the car was built in May (don't have the exact date yet).

It signifies some event about 6-10 days before the build date. The question is what. Maybe it's the date the window sticker is created in anticipation of vehicle assembly.

 

The date on my sticker is 9/01/04. I don't know the build date but the car arrived at the dealership on 10/31/04.

Anybody here has the window sticker without the MSRP on it? My sticker is the one that actually came with the car from the assembly plant, not the final one with the prices (MSRP) on it. As soon as they unloaded the car from the truck, I peeled the window sticker before they took the car to the detail shop.

 

It is what they call the blend date. The blend date is the date that they have all the parts they need to build your car and they are reserved just for your car. Its like a giant bin basket where all the parts are placed waiting to be assembled. The blend date is normally 7-10 days before the build date.
