Default Record for slowest Tri-ax install?

22 hours from box open to test drive....OK, I had some extenuating circumstances (3 auto stores out of anti-seize??) and actually the total time working on it was more like 45 minutes...but still I think this is a record right? [8D]

Had several trips to stores due to broken/lost tools, etc (I have 3 teenage sons...'nuff said?)....so my mechanical abilities are fine, its the planning I am bad at. [>:]

Anyway, the Tri-Ax installed very well and so far I love it. Really the install went very smoothly - I just should have made sure all my tools were in working order and I had the required lubricants etc before I started to take the stock shifter out

Normally I would not post on this since there are a number of posts on it already, but I did have a unique (i think) experience in one case...I was not able to get a socket on the bolt that attached the shift arm to the tranny so I wound up having to use a ratcheting wrench (which I did not have in that size...hence 1 trip to home depot

The chassis on my car bumps out right at the head of the bolt with no room to put a socket on it and the bolt is so long that I had to work it for a while to get it out. I was wondering why I had not heard others with this issue.

I did have my son work from inside the car so pulling the stock shifter out and putting in the new shifter was pretty easy....even the shift boot was not that big an issue.

Anyway, thanks to all those who did the install prior (even the Hurst and Pro5.0 installs, 'cause not dropping the drive shaft actually did save lots of time).

I had my mechanic at JAX Performance do it. For 60 bucks, it was not worth the time and energy to do it myself. He's put in dozens of these things, so it took him like 10 minutes.
