Electrical Problem with a 2007 GT

Electrical Problem with a 2007 GT
(Update on a September post )
I have had a problem happen four times. All are related to a faulty electrical problem. At 2 miles, 70 miles, 180 miles and now at 280 miles (total time elapsed is two months after delivery), this problem has stumped the dealer and Detroit/ Ford.
Specifically, the warning/monitoring gauges go out- Oil, tire, brake, fuel, traction control, doors, hand brake etc. All the warning lights are all flashing & buzzing. Traction control is also out.
One clue is the last instance happened when I turned on the Sirius radio.
When you discontect the battery, the whole system resets. Dealer plans to replace electonic circuitry, but didn't specify what part of it. Perhaps the entire harness.
Has anyone heard of a similar problem? Any suggestions? Sure don't want to give this ride up

RE: Electrical Problem with a 2007 GT
My car began doing the same thing a week ago. Sometimes just the battery light (with no corresponding electrical problems) and sometimes a group of alarms (with corresponding shutdown of A/C, windows, radio, lights, etc.) I took it in for diagnosic code test only (while the car was doing it) and it threw out a P0622 code, which is a Generator Fault code. I am taking it in this morning to leave it for them to try to fix.
You have been in 4 times? What the hell are they doing each time?
I will let you know how it goes. I've been looking for someone else with this problem. This is not water related. Anyone else had this?

Crazy Horse:
I have had it in 3 times, the fourth is being scheduled.
First time they said it was a battery ground problem.
Ditto second. Ford Detroit said to drive the car more, and at higher RPM's. ( So far, I only put about 150 miles a month, this is my weekend ride)
Third, dealer replaced battery.
Now they are talking about replacing entire "electronic harness". I'm not sure of the exact description. I am talking to them this week and will give you more details.
Two items.
First: My problem ceases when I disconnect the battery- the circuitry re-sets. Does yours?
Two: The last instance was concurrent with turning on the Sirius Satellite radio. Do you have that option?

Mine will sometimes reset when I turn the ignition off and back on. I have not tried disconnecting the battery. I do not have the Sirius radio, but I do have the Roush charger and they are going to start with that. I notice from your original email in September that your diagnostic codes are different than mine, but the symptoms are similar. After a quick look at Joe Myers last Friday when it threw out the P0622 code, the service tech suggested that I'm getting an occasional voltage spike that is being read by the ECM (recalibrated by Roush) and is setting off the other problems. The voltage spike explanation sort of make sense, because it will sometimes clear up when I hit the brakes and cause an additional electrical load. A P0622 is a generator fault code.
I went ahead and drove my car this weekend, but took it back into Joe Myers in Houston this morning. I will keep you posted as to progress.
What dealership are you using? Sounds like you may be in Texas. If this keeps up, you should familiarize yourself with the Texas Lemon Law. Sounds like you will qualify for the "4 times" test if they cant fix it this time.

I live in Northern Virginia and the lemon law is weaker here.
However, I was born in Texas and am a UT Austin grad. Still have a ton of relatives all over the state.
I appreciate you keeping me in the loop. I'll do the same.
Good Luck to both of us.
