LM install difficulty?
Are you talking about the SLP loudmouth install?
Cause I have mine sitting in the box, just came in the mail, and I was going to post the same thread.
All I have heard is keep everything loose to make aligning the tips easier and probably measuring the length the stock pipes stick out prior to removing them to get an idea of how far the new ones should stick out.
But how much gap should you have between the bumper and the tips? I don't want to discolor or melt the plastic but I don't want to be dragging the tips on the ground either.

The install itself is real easy, just unbolt the hangars and the clamp and the stock muffs come right off. Getting them lined up is kinda tricky but it doesn't take much. It took me a total of an hour and fifteen minutes to do.
Steps for removing the stock mufflers.
1. Remove the hanging brackets, there should be 4 (2 each muffler.)
2. Remove the clamps. The clamps themselves are welded to the pipes, I think I just took mine off completely but not sure that is really necessary.
3. Use the "Wiggle" technicque to remove each individual muffler. Up down, left right, circular motions. You don't have to be really forceful on them, you just need to break down anything that's keeping the pipe stuck on.
4. Pull the mufflers off.
Installing mufflers, LM's specifically.
1. Loosely bolt the supplied tubing to the tips.
2. Reattach hanging brackets.
3. Match supplied tubing with OE Over-axle pipe while fitting the tips into the hangers.
4. Align & Tighten everything.
In short, it's fairly simple. The hardest part is just getting the tips to align right.
