I am not exactly happy with the realease of the new Camaro, i saw some pics in my monthly MotorTrend magazine, and they said 400HP 425 TQ. This is a problem for the 07 GT......[>:]

400hp vs 300hp...

Anyway its supposed to be 6.2L 450hp at least thats what Steve Saleen said GM was doing..

If the new Camaro is released with anything close to the concept version looks, it sucks! Might as well buy a Charger. As far as the engine, if it has the 6.2L you can't even compare it to the 4.6L Mustang. Much bigger engine. It's like comparing it to the Viper!

 

Correction, WE cant compare our car to it.. but I can guarentee you when one pulls up next to us, THEY will. Think they will care that their engine is 1 1/2 times as large? Nah, theyll just sit there and gloat how they have 400 hp with that massive engine, doesnt matter to them that it will weight 800 lbs or sucks gas like a semi, its all about who has the most hp, no matter what the costs.. but thats ok, wait until Ford comes out with their 6.3L.

lol Some of us Mustangs are loaded and ready to play with any 400 hp or even 450 hp Chevy! Bring it on! They still will not beat alot of 'boosting' Mustangs.

Thats what were told... its either 6.3 or 6.4, cant remember exactly which.. its supposed to be the new F150 engine, the "hemi-killer" and eventually Mustang engine as well.

 

Well, there goes the apples to oranges again. You can't compare a 300 hp $25 - $30,000 car, to a 400 hp $40,000 car. just doesn't work. Of course, if you took the extra 10 grand and sunk it into the Mustang, but there we go again, arguments all day. Enjoy your better looking car you bought for less. Once you start adding mods, you won't stop, and depending on what you add, you might rip the doors off a new camaro when it comes out.

True, but Id fear anything pushing 450 hp N/A... because then theyre only a few grand from being 600 blown. It always helps to start with a bigger engine... but thats ok, we have owned then for the past couple years, let them have their year in 2008 and once the new Ford engine comes out hopefully Ill be dropping that bad boy in my car.
