Okay so every so often when I jump in my car and try and start her i hear a grinding noise and she doesnt even try and start, I turn the car of and it starts fine. Anyone else do this??? If it helps the cars is a 6 with a man trans (yes I am pressing the clutch) and no mods besides the duals. Anyone got an idea??

 

Sounds like it's time to head to the dealership. Is the car still under warranty?

 

yep sure is problem is it doesnt do it everytime i would say only one or twice a weeks maybe

 

If it's a loud grinding noise, it's the starter's gear slipping on the flywheel. Unfortunately if the problem persists, it will start to happen more frequently until it will be hard to start. Have the dealer check it out. They will probably replace the starter.

it could also be the solenoid mulfunctioning and not pushing the gears to the flywheel
