Default Important Question. Need answer asap by knowledgeable person!

I have an 06GT and lately when I am pulling into a place I will get a weird noise from the back of the car sometimes. I have heard something on this board about TSB. As for that "Noise" and the TSB.. what kinda noise is it..?
Ive noticed that sometimes when I have been driving and I go to park the car.. when I am slowing down I will get a weird sound from the back of the car.. But I just got new wheels and tires and was wondering if its just the sound of the bigger tires. My stock wheels wer 18x8 or 8.5 and these are 18x10. I cant say whether it is the tires or not tho.. it could easily be something else.

Sometimes the noise is there in the back.. sometimes not.. but it seems to be when I am slowing down coming to a stop.. any ideas on what this may be?

Another question is this. I am driving to Dallas tommorrow which is about 200 mi away for the weekend. Total trip will put about 500 mi or more on my car.
Do I need to get this looked at BEFORE I go or am I ok to wait and see if the noise continues? Thanks

There is a relevant TSB that may be what you are experiencing.

The problem is the clutches in the limited-slip differential.

The symptoms are a "moaning" or "whining" sound that comes from the rear end of the car, ONLY WHEN TURNING, and most often at slow speeds. Driving around in a parking lot is the easiest place to hear it. Remember, if this is the relevant TSB, it only occurs when you are turning.

Your dealer should fix this for free, it's covered under warranty.

Do I need to get this fixed before I drive to Dallas if this is indeed the problem?
Its about a 200 mi trip there.. 200 back..
Probably about 500 mi total that I will travel this weekend.

Ok talked to my cousin who is a salesan at my uncle's dealership.
He knew the problem right when I described it and you are right!
He said I was safe to drive to Dallas but to set an appointment to come in next week.
I told him it wasnt all the time and I didnt know if it was only when turning.
He said it does sound like that problem and thought I was ok to drive it this weekend.
He then talked to a guy in service and the guy said it would be a bit of a irritation to me till then if it got any worse but no more damage would be done to the clutch or anything.

I asked him if it was a common prob and he was saying yes he had had a few of his stangs come in for that. Anyways... Thanks so much for the help Al.. you always are very knowledgeable and quick to help those in need.
My thanks again!
