Default tech problem

well... my car won't stay running.

so here's the story... a month ago i parked it in a garage before winter hit. it was running just fine. then i go to start it a week ago, and it turns, gets to the part where it runs, and stalls. now i'd think it was just fuel priming or something but i did manage to get it running in like a safe mode or something where WOT was 3000 rpm. so i turned it off, and tried to restart it. stall. then i installed the factory tune just to see. try again, stall. i checked the trouble codes and wrote them all down, i think a few were safe mode codes, (i forgot the sheet at home, i'm out of town) but it also had 'throttle accuator stuck open' and a few odb port errors.

ideas? is my fuel pump toast? or worse the computer in the thing? (i think thats worse anyway) its only got 15000 k on it (9000 miles i think) so lots of warrenty. but can it beattributed to my mods?

how cold does it get in the garage you parked it in? i doubt the fuel pump got gummed up in that time.

so basically it starts up then stalls out?

you might look into the fuel pump as the problem but getting more opinions than mine will be good.

IAC valve maybe? I've seen that happen on a couple of other Fords that I have owned. On my Explorer I replaced the IAC valve completely, and on the Windstar, I took it off and throughly cleaned the internals with WD-40.

If one of the codes is throttle actuator stuck open, I would take off the intake. Maybe the throttle is just stuck from sitting.

i would also try taking the battery out and letting the computer sit for an hour or so and let it map out everything again...don't know if it'll work but it's a suggestion and easy to do.

IAC valve?
Idle Air Control Valve. It's the silver, cylindrical assembly attached to the throttle body...
