Default New Strut Bar Installed (pics)

I can tell my car is faster already!!!

J/k....

For those looking for a low cost option I just received my Strut Tower Brace from NorthAmericanTuning.com.

http://www.northamericantuning.com/m...ower_brace.htm

I'm pretty happy with it, it's nothing fancy, but for $95 I didn't expect much. The paint was a bit dull in places and if I really cared I could have easily put another coat on there.

I've read the posts questioning the need for these, especially with no other suspension mods, but it's a great cosmetic addition and weighs less then 5lbs.

See the pics...

That looks like something I can make in shop class at school....I may just do that...What are they made out of and about how thick are they.

You probably could... I'm sure they are making quite a profit...

I'm not sure what it is made out of. Steel I guess. I don't know about the size. What do you need me to measure?

I would feel bad making you go out to measure it but I would really like to try this. It seems like a good learning experience and I can finally use something I make in school. If you can measurse the three lengs that the bent bar has that would be great.

That would help me total the lengs and to know how long the top and side should be. I also need to know the diameter of the steal bar. Im guessing its between .750inch and 1inch.

if by lengs you mean the three "sections" of the bar then i'm clear.

i'll measure them and also give you a total.

i'm at work now but i'll post the measurements later tonight.
