but ford says they will have 300 BHP i dont think they will put down 5hp less then what there flywheel is. im thinking about 260 to the tires.

look at the mach 1, rated at 305 and they put around 280 to the wheels. same with the cobra, they are rated 390 at the crank and put down 380-390 to the wheels. they do that to keep insurance down. the new GTs are monsters for what they are rated. someone with ford took one to a track against a mach 1 and a 01 cobra and blew them away. my uncle works for ford and he says ford is rating all th new stangs at the wheels, including v6s.

well we will see. hey if its got that much power than thats cool. if its pushin 300 to the wheels than we have a mid low 13 sec GT on are hands stock.

As much as thats hard to believe I would LOVE to find out that its the truth. So if it is truely putting down 300 to the wheels then it probably has about 340 to 350 bhp pretty nice (at least that matches the GTO)

i have heard stuff from the guys that drive the transport trucks. there is a test course somewhere off 316 in ga that they took a 05 GT against a truck drivers c5 and the c5 barely beat him out. i don't know if these first ones are freaks or if they will all be that way. there have been a few 03/04 cobras that i have seen dyno around 425 rwhp with just a K&N air filter and an oil change
