Default car cover question

Hi - I had a previous post about my car getting egged last week.

Question - I know that car covers are designed primarily for protection from the elements.
When my car is at home that is not an option since I have a garage.

When visiting away would putting on a car cover help? I know that a cable lock can be used with the cover, but what
would stop someone from lifting up the cover to do their deed and then pulling the cover back down?
Would the use of a car cover just draw more attention?

Just curious.

It depends! If you r at the store and put a cover on it will attract attention. But if you r at a friends in the driveway then go for it and protect the investment!

putting a car cover on a dirty car will damage the paint and any lenses or other surfaces that are subject to the friction of the car cover. Car cover + dirt particles= sandpaper.

I am a big fan of car covers (I have used NOAH covers for years). But, I only use my car covers after a good washdown.

Exactly you will have to make sure your car is always clean in order to put the cover on.

Don't get silly. It probably won't happen again. Forget about it and move on.
