Default Shifting Blues

Is there a manutronic/autostick/tiptronic/shiftronic setup out there for our cars? I've been digging, but haven't turned up anything yet. It seems B&M has some drop-in ratchet shifters, but I can't see one for ANYTHING past year2000 cars. I've been wondering if it would be possible to drop in a manutronic from another car (like the porsche or mercedes unit). Would be slick...

I heard B&M is in the process of making one for our cars. Patience my friend.

Default RE: Shifting Blues

I wish I had the guts to take mine apart...because it should just be a simple tactile control to tell the computer what to do. If that's the case, I could build a manutronic myself. Unfortunately...I don't tinker with my baby. If she ain't broke, I don't mess around. Plus, my 'Stang's a daily driver, so if I took the shifter apart, I'd have to get it back together in the same day.

Although I suppose I could go rent a Hertz GT... [>:]
