I want to purchase a 87 tune to replace my tune from sct. Which should I go with? Which one will be easier to deal with when i start customizing with bolt ons?

I think everyone will tell you that Evolution Performance, Brenspeed, B A M A chips, lido, etc. etc. sells very good tunes. They all make a lot of power and torque and improve the drivability of the car. Some may like one vendor better than another for any number of reasons.

I had Evolutions tunes and my car responded very well to them. Fred's 87 octane tune was much improved over the stock tune from the factory.

My advice is to get a tune from a vendor that you are close to as the best way to maximize performance and safety would be to have the tune installed and then adjust it on the dyno. That way you are getting a truely custom tune specific for your car because your car may react or be slightly different from the next guy's.

I got my XCal2 and tunes from Brenspeed...great customer service, answered all my annoying questions and emails, and the tunes are great.

 

I have tried all three and your only cheating yourself if you don't go with brenspeed. But if don't want that go evolution and lastly b a m a chips.

Doug at B a m a chips.com had some good tunes as well. Someone posted earlier this week about the Brenspeed tunes being too lean but the thread was removed.
