Spark PLug changing......
Has anyone had any issues changing the spark plugs? Ther was a post a lil while back about the plugs breaking or whatnot and i wanna change mine, but i dunno if i should have the stealership do it so if they break a plug they have to handle it or if would be safe for me to do it.. I have 18000 miles on my car, they are about due to be changed i think......
100.000 miles is the first scheduled tune up. I feel that at least yearly we ought to pull them to inspect and maybe clean if needed. But our iridium plugs " probobly spelled wrong " last way longer and cost WAY more than regular plugs. I just think its a good idea to not leave them there for years and find out you cant get them out. I am just old school, and I may be totally wrong.
i'm with you, it just "feels" like the right thing
to do
to do

You can probably do it yourself with no problems if you only have 18k on the car. I was told to loosen the plug 1/8 turn and then flood it with a high quality penetrant/lubricator and let that sit for 15 minutes. Then slowly back them out all the way.

It take a little while longer to change are plugs, but still very easy to do......100,000 miles, holy crap.
