Do yourself a favor and stick with the new hi-tech liquid waxes. I recently tried Maguires NXT but nothing is as good as Nu Finish. It's lasts and lasts.

I have a '90 Mazda B2200 that MEGUIARS "Cleaner Wax" gives it the MO-JO,
plus I use it on my F150 Larit, good stuff.......
B U T ..... the baby gets NXT, it really brings out the depth on that dark blue, that is what got me a "Peoples Choice "trophy in my first show.
Meguiars "Water Magnet " drying towels are the **** also,a bit pricey,buy 2 and use them at the same time and your done QUICK !!!!
called the MG hotline a few times and the guys were sorta peckerheads, So I still use MOTHERS stuff too

fairlane292;
I to worry about the dredeed "swirl", nothing is worse than a sweet car that goes by and you see where its
been hacked,[by accident of course] i use a rinse only bucket, cut the male connector-end off of my washing hose,
and hand wash my rocker panels last thing,some of that scratchin starts before waxin,
SWEET ride you have there, i know your PROUD !!

Optimum Spray Wax is designed to be as durable as a paste wax. Just spay on and wipe of with a microfiber. Very simple to use with great results.

Thanks man! Oh yeah, I didn't even get into the wash but as you say, two buckets, rockers last, sheet rinse, dry indooors if possible... ...many more tips around. ...mainly wanted folks to know that removing dry wax is 'bad news' ...the guy I mentioned with the roush was doing all the right things really on washing and drying but dry wax removal has created quite a mess actually. Fortunately it can be fixed but only by a seasoned prof detailer. ...have to use a rotary buffer now and don't want to burn through an edge.

btw, your ride looks awesome as well (clean look, great color too). Enjoy!!!

Yup, lots of threads out here and links in them for tips. btw, don't wash, dry or wax in a circular motion, all straight line. ...especially on that sweet black conv!
