Default WHEEL FITMENT

what is the "DO-ABLE" range for offsets and backspacing for 05+ mustangs?... basically what specs are best but how much can i get away with?

like an 18x8.5 wheel in front and 18x9.5 in back... both with 35mm offset... doable?

thanks

The offset on the stock wheels is 45mm. A 35mm offset will push the wheel out 10mm more than stock. I am going to be putting the shelby razors on my car in the spring and they only have a 24mm offset, but they are only 9" wide. I think a 9.5 will fit, but I'm not 100% sure. Somebody else will be able to tell you for sure.

Will:

I'm running 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 Stern Beasts, both with a 35 mm offset on my 06 GT without any problems. The rear tires extend about 3mm beyond the wheel wells.

Both will fit. A 35mm offset on an8.5" wheel will push the tire out 10+6.35=16.35mm or about 0.6". A 9.5" wheel with 35mm offset will push the tire out 10+19.05mm=29.05mm or 1.1"

My shelby's with 24mm offse on a 9" rim = 21mm+12.7=33.7mm so they stick out 1.3" more than stock.

Not to hijack your post Will, but can someone tell me if a 10" rear with a 34mm offset will stick out?

hah no problem bud... but based on the posts above i think I can be of service here lol...

i would say yes... if NJStang is running 18x9.5 with a 35mm offset on his and they stick out a little in the back... i would be willing to bet that a 10" wheel is going to stick out quite a bit.

i've been wrong before though... many times before

I Believe the 04 mustangs had a 24mm offset. My wheels were made for the 04s and they stick out just a tad in the back an dfit in the front. They are 18 X 9
