I don't exactly understand what the lower control arms do. Is it a worthwhile mod? Which brand is the best? How do you install these things? If I had them, how would my driving experience change? Thanks ahead of time.

Also, would I need other suspension upgrades or are LCAs enough?

LCAs are a part in your suspension. The rear suspension, specifically. These are bars that connect the rear axle to the body of the car. These, along with the UCA, are what transfer the force from the rear axle of the car to the body, which pushes the car forward when you accelerate.

The problem with the stock ones is that they flex, and most importantly, so do the stock rubber bushings in the LCAs. This is what causes wheelhop under hard acceleration. It contributes to your rear tires spinning instead of grabbing when you accellerate hard in a low gear. It also contributes to poor handling when you hit the corners hard.

Some LCAs are adjustable. This is so that you can correct the pinion angle of your rear end if you lower the car or if you install a 1-pc driveshaft.

Is it worthwhile? YES YES YES YES. As a commercial once said, "power is nothing without control". If you can't put your HP to the pavement, what's the point?

What's the best brand? This is up for debate, but in my opinion, it is BMR...specifically the welded steel ones. Some brands like Steeda sell these made of billet aluminum, but I would avoid those. They are expensive and heavier than the tubular steel ones. And furthermore, the aluminum ones have been known to break under hard use.

You can expect better traction and better handling with this mod.

Not as far as the LCAs are concerned. Good luck!
