Default Motive Performance Plus Gears?

Please dont hurt me for another gear question.......

I am wanting the newer / easier to install revision......

Are these new Performance Plus gears the new Ford Racing part #
M-4209-L373M ?
Does anyone know any where tht has those in stock if they are not.

7.5" RING AND PINION GEAR SET 3.73:1

My car currently has the older part # and they are whining horrible. Car is not really drivable due to noise.
Dealer's tech and the tech Ford sent in to try again could not stop the whine. They suggested the new revisions.

Or does anymore know where to get the new OEM 3.73's from the Rangers?

Sorry man, can't help with the 4.0 gears. If it were the 8.8" version for the V8s I could point ya in the right direction. Perhaps ping a few of the vendors and ask them.

As far as I know, that "M" at the end of the part number means the gears are made by Motive.

I think you should try a different dealer. Noisy gears is a sign that the installation was done incorrectly. Also, once the gears whine, they are screwed up and they can't be re-set. You have to get a new set of gears and try again.

I thought that the motive gears were loud and whine alot and the FFRP gears were quiet and worked great from all the other Gear threads here correct me if I am wrong and if I an not send the motive gears back and get a set from FFRP which fixed most of the whine problems I have read about.

The Ford gears are easier to install if you have a lazy mechanic, becasue you can usually just reuse the factory shims. The Motives have to be set up the old fashioned way, with lots of test fits and measurements. However, motive gears are quiet when properly installed.
