SCT Livewire vs Xcal 2
Anyone with more info on the Livewire? How does it compare to the Xcal 2? Will it also improve auto trans performance? Is it worth the extra cost? Any info is appreciated..

RE: SCT Livewire vs Xcal 2
Livewire is a Xcal2++. Think of it as a Xcal tuner, Performance Meter and Data logger all wrapped up in one.

Worth it over an Xcal2?
I guess it depends on how much of a techno-geek you are. The tune will be able to do nothing more then the tunes you can load into an Xcal2 now. They will only be as good as the tuner who wrote it.

The Livewire has the same functions as the basic X-cal 2, except that it adds a fancy display. Performance-wise there is no difference. Either one is only as good as the tune files they contain (which would be identical for either).
A basic X-cal 2 can already data log, you just need to hook it up to a PC to view the data...which is something you'd have to do anyway: The "gauges" on the Livewire display aren't any good for anything other than eye candy. You still need to be able to view a long-term log to be able to make tuning decisions based on the data (which is something that most people aren't going to be doing anyway.

If you don't have one.. get a GOOD CAI and a SCT2 have it dyno tuned by a pro and put your SCT2 away until you do more mods.. ( if you do more mods )
don't buy or get a canned tune.. as all these cars are differnet...
just my 2 cents worth of advice to you..
