You don't have to change the motor mounts for the Saleen s/c to fit under the stock hood.......but it does help with clearances if you do lowering mounts. You'll probably have some clearance issues if you go with a solid airflow tube for your intake with the stock mounts also.

You'll be fine with the stock motor mounts with the stock air box. I have the Saleen blower and I'm still using the stock mounts with the stock hood and air breather tube. I am about to do lowering mounts however 1.) because I want a more solid mount and 2.) because I want to do a C & L racer style air tube for when I go up to 8psi.
You should also know that with the stock mounts you may end up with some vibrations from the blower housing rubbing against the firewall. This isn't a big issue however, since the blower housing can be adjusted forward slightly..........or the firewall bent back a bit to make extra clearance.

No, a local shop did the install. I went that route mainly because I used an aftermarket SCT2 tune and intake setup. Most dealerships doing the warrantied Saleeninstall won't touch anything nonstandard to the Saleen approved setup....as you found out. You also have to go with the Saleen computer reflash, which won't include any aftermarket intakes or pulley setups that you added yourself.

As far as hood clearance goes, you will rub the lining on the hood with a Saleen blower.
Just the lining, in 2 spots, and the rubbing makes a little mess on the top of the intake.
Too little for me to complain about the boost in power!
FYI - I never had anyone tell me of motor mount swaps to lower the engine,
I will now look into it.
