I personaly dont think that it's worth that much.... as far as the install goes -- it's easy & and will only take you like 30 minutes.

Not a good idea unless it comes with a tuner which it doesn't. Put that on and it will mess with your air to fuel ratio. Without a matching tune for that intake your car will run like crap and you risk damaging it. I would find an air intake and tuner combo. It's going to cost more but it's worth it. I haven't seen the K&N's packaged with a tuner and i don't see how they yealed HP gains without proper retuning.

I have one but it is for the V-8! It was an easy install and had no problems with it of what so ever. I had a tune put into it after the kit was installed but that was not a nessary step just a wanted one as you don't have to tune the intake like the others. Just breathes better without drastically changing the A/F ratio.

yeah if you dont wanna shell out for a high end cai and tuner these are great cause the diameter of the tube is the same as stock, so no air/fuel ratio headaches - that being said you should prolly just save up and buy the better one - i didnt hold out and now i will be buying again. =(

if you really wanna go cheap there are k&n knockoffs on ebay for less than half the price (which is what i got) and they are identical to the k&n typhoons

Im not a fan of these intakes. You can put it on without a tune, but thats only because the air goes through a **** straw around the mass air flow. I don't really see how you are going to get all that much more air flow. I would go with a tuner kit. Been there done that but with a S&B intake. Now its all good with the JLT.

agreed, which is why i'll end up buying a second (better) CAI

the cheaper ones DO offer some gains, i think the typhoon is like 9 HP vs. 15 HP of a higher end model.
