I am trying to load my tune from brenspeed andI get a read out "power up msg time out" or something like that. What does it mean and what am i dong wrong?

 

You had the ignition key turned off when you plugged the SCT unit into the car's OBD2 port, correct? Make sure you've got a good connection and the plug is not loose. Failing that, it might be a problem with the tuner or the program loaded on the tuner. Definitely give the Brenspeed folks a call.

 

Yeah I had the key off and the plug was snug in there...Ill give them a call.

UPDATE--I called them and they were very helpful and easyto work with (the reason whyI chose them) They determined that the tuner was defective and told me to send it back to them. I packed it right back up and sent it today. Brent told me as compensation he would refund theshipping cost for sending it back, orI could have them upgrade the shipping for the new tuner to 2nd day air. I told them ill cover the return shipping and they will upgrade the shipping on the new tuner. Im guessing ill have the new one early next week and I will post another update about the new tuner and what I think of the tune (if it works) Laterr --Nick

 

The first one I got from Bamachips was bad also, it was completely dead wouldn't do anything, he sent me a new one it worked fine.
