Default Shifter Chatter

I've got a bone stock 2006 GT w/ a manual transmission. I am getting a chatter, seemingly from the shifter, at around 4000 RPM primarily in 2nd and 3rd gear. It also starts if I downshift from 4th to 3rd and nail the throttle and bringthe RPM's upquickly. It probably would do it in 1st, 4th and 5th gears, but it's a daily driver and I usually don't hit very high RPM's in the other gears. The shifter works fine, but the noise is annoying. Anyone had this issue and gotten it fixed? I've got 7k left on my factory warranty, so any insight would be helpful in getting the dealer to troubleshoot it and get it corrected.

Thanks a lot

It would be hard to know what's wrong without hearing it. Mine makes a very faint vibration noise when cruising in 3rd, 4th. It almost sounds like wind vibrating a heat shield under the car, but it could be anything. It's so slight that with the radio on at a normal volume i can't hear it. I didn't feel mine was worth a trip to the dealer, but it's still annoying when my radio is off.

I've noticed it slightly on mine at times.

Seems like on mine its due to vibrations going through the shifting ****.
