Removing Mufflers?
unless you put other mufflers back on, it will:
Sound like crap;
Fail safety inspection;
Let fumes into the cabin;
Get you noise violation citations; and
probably run slower.
Other than that, no ill effect.

Sound like crap; - personal opinion
Fail safety inspection; - only if you have emissions
Let fumes into the cabin; - false, especially since its dumped so far back, or if theres a problem put on a $2 extention
Get you noise violation citations; and - ehh depends, not always
probably run slower. - backpreasure is a myth, that is false, it will be faster

Might also bang around unless you fab up a rear bracket of some sort.

I am bouncing back and forth on which I want to do. Leave my exahust stock until I can obtain some MAC's, or run no muffs until that day comes...
OK, here we go:
Sound like crap; - personal opinion. Very true, I admit. Have you ever listened to a mustang with only the muffs removed and nothing put on? Just blowing exhaust into the suspension? (Loudmouths run to the back of the car and sound much different)
Fail safety inspection; - only if you have emissions. Most jurisdictions will prohibit exhaust systems that release exhaust under the car. They are usually required to go to the perimeter of the vehicle. Nothing to do with emissions; it's a safety issue.
Let fumes into the cabin; - false, especially since its dumped so far back, or if theres a problem put on a $2 extention. Yes an extension to the perimeter should solve the problem; but that was not what was asked. So, not false. And...this is also why it would likely fail inspection.
Get you noise violation citations; and - ehh depends, not always. I promise you that noise levels with no mufflers will exceed the noise limits for all 50 states. Willthey be enforced? does he care? dunno.
probably run slower. - backpreasure is a myth, that is false, it will be faste It MIGHT be faster...it will likely not be faster....it might be slower. People who have removed them and replaced them with SLP's have never reported faster...some have reported slower. "Backpressure" is not a myth, it is a factor in performance and engine design. opening up the back end will have little or no positive effect unless you make a matching increase to the intake ability.
So, I respect your right to disagree but let's try to answer the same questions....and keep our facts straight.

I forget what's directly behind the exhaust at the cutoff. I'd be concerned with heat on driveline/suspension components. I'd at least do some kind of turn down toblow the heat away. There are cutouts in the bumper you know...fill 'em with some chrome tips! I like my SLP Loudmouths.
