Hurst Shifter Question
Ever since I sat in the Shelby GT at NAIAS, I've been wanting to put a Hurst shifter in my 07 GT. However, I do have a few questions about it.
1) Once installed, is there ANY possibility of causing damage to the transmission.
2) Will it void the warranty on the powertrain.
3) Why are some other shifters better, should I consider any others?
4) My Mustang is a daily driver, will a Hurst shifter cause any problems/annoyances.

1. Installed incorrectly anything can cause damage to something else.
2. It will void warranty on the shifter, unless installed incorrectly, then it will void the warranty on anything the service writer can convince you is wrong because you put a shifter in.
3. Shifters are made of steel or aluminum, better is subjective, and you should ALWAYS consider all others
4. The problem it will cause is the length of the shift will be shortened, and that would be annoying if you like long shifts.
Hears a question for you , How far is up? which way is that way? at the end does it start over? sorry, I just had to.
