Has anyone experienced any problems with people vandalizing your cars? I know some cars attract keyings/eggins/etc. more so than others but I dont know how the new mustangs are fareing.

 

Well it depends but some posts on here tell some crazy and true stories about what was vandalized on there cars and where it has happened. It really depends on if you have enemies, young irresponsible neighbors, and so many other factors... I personally have not had any problems but I have a locked garage and many neighbors that have mustangs and love them and do not mess with others belongings. We look out for each other!

I'm fortunate, no problems yet, but it's not a daily driver.

 

These cars are bait for a$$holes, gotta keep em secure.

 

I 'll have to agree -- our cars do attract @ssholes and of you can lock it up then I say do it. They tried to break into mine when I was out of town for Christmas

 

My whole car has been keyed except for the roof and trunklid(ex-girlfriend did it, caught her and she paid the bill or I was pressing charges).

Also somebody slipped a key into my doorjam I think and just ran it down because i'm missing a line of paint where the door meets the fender.

I'm not really worried about people damaging the car because they dont like me, since I'm a pretty well liked guy. It's just that there are so many inconsiderate a**holes these days that I'm kind of worried about dropping 25k+ on a car that some jerk is gonna fu(k up because, 'its cool.'

I have a friend with an STi (seems A LOT of STis get messed with), and one day he came out of the store to find all his windows broken and huge key lines going down both sides. I just dont want something like that to happen to me for no reason.

 

My suggestion to you would be to only park where you know at least one person around might witness your car getting vandalized, and if you park outside a store that has security camera's, try to park where the camera can see your car. Other than that it would probably be better if you were in a low crime area.

I have had no problems with vandalism.

2004 GT 4.6 Competition Orange - 4X, the last time doing $1,100 worth of damage (5-boys caught and paid up-charges dropped)

2007 GT 4.6 Visat Blue - Bought Sept 2006 - 1X just weeks ago, tiny chips ofpaint in a circular pattern the size of a quarter

And two other times to one of our trucks and my son's 02 GT
