Default Head light covers

Ok..I used search and can not find a thread on the headlight covers. I would like to know if there is any impact on removing them and if not then how? I like the old school look and I believe I would like it. Any help would be appreciated.

Cant say anyone has done that and I think I read a post about finding a headlight without the light covers on it from factory. I believe they came up with nothing. Sorry

Ok by headlight covers do you mean ones that blackout the headlights?

I think he means that he wants to remove the factory clear lens that covers the headlight on all S197's.
Look at any photo of a 69 Mustang. It has 2 headlight close together.
I don't know if the headlight behind the clear plastic is meant to be exposed. It might look good, especially if you have a black car or will paint the black area around the light body color!

I think a good exapple is the Fosse Stallion. I don't believe it has clear lenses over the headlights.

whoaaa, the covers are part of the fascia!!?? I'm ready to toss my fascia anyway for a roush setup.

I cannot believe the covers are a physical part of the fascia.. stupid.

Cutting them out... not sure I want to partake.. but I may!

Whoa now Rubrignitz, slow down. Yer movin' too fast. No, they're not part of the fascia. They're part of the headlight housing.
