Ive also read that MSRP is about 45g's. I havent seen anything cheaper than 65k.
Isnt there a law against price gouging? [:@]

this is gonna sound like a real dumbass question, but here it goes:
wouldn't it be more cost effective to get the new v-6 and just drop the 500 hp block in it?
i know it wouldn't be a real one to sell at barrett-jackson, but it would go fast right?

YOU CAN EXPECT TO PAY BETWEEN $15,000 AND $20,000 OVER MSRP FOR THE SHELBY GT500...
SOME DEALERS ARE EVEN TRYING TO GET MORE THAN THAT FOR THE CAR...
UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a local dealership a couple of weeks ago because they advertised in the newspaper that they had 4 GT500's in stock. They did indeed have 4 with another one on the way. I didn't ask what they were selling them for since I knew I couldn't afford it anyway.
One dealership got one here in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, and it was all tapped off. So I asked the salesman what one would cost, and he said that the one in the lot there sold for $90,000. I asked him what the sticker price was, and he just laughed. thats Canadian dollars. So much for me trading my gt in for one, lol.

I think i read a while back that they were going to produce about 8000 a year for 5 years. If that's true, I would wait a little to see if prices go down bc 25K over MSRP is nucking futs!

My dealer said I could have a coupe for list if I wanted it. It is still out of my price range and I prefer the convertible so I passed on it. I will have to check if they are offering that price to everyone or just people they know and have worked with already.
