Default Basic Appearance Upgrades?

I'm a bit of a Stang newbie, what are some basic appearance upgrades to start me off? Not looking at performance upgrades yet. Gonna get a bit more experience with Mustangs (and cash) before I look into that.

'05 GT. I'm just looking for basic exterior mods. How would I look into getting a hood scoop?

They are many types hood scoops and folks on the forums prety much have them. In addition to the Roush (the one I have) check out the ones on this site:

Also, mossmustangs.com has some. They are mostly non-functional. Here's a thread of a fellow stanger who just installed the Shaker Kit:

What would be the process of installing the hood? Is it something that can be done myself or what?

if you're comfortable in drilling holes into your hood then it's something you can do yourself.

I imagine you meant the Hood Scoop? Well, the Roush required drilling 7 holes on the hood. Yes, you can do it...heckif I did it anyone can. The Shaker Kit requires cutting a hole on the Hood. Folks on the forums, with the right tools have done it and they look great. The other scoops are installed with a combination of 3M tape.

I did the CDC louvers in about 20 minutes for both. Hood scoops are also a no brainer...just requires some guts to drill the holes. Decals are easy too and can really have an impact on the looks of your car. I did the decals on the bottom of the doors for my 2000 Mustang and it turned out great. You can also do braided hoses, plenum cover and other similar cosmetic mods. Go to a local Mustang club meet & greet and talk to the guys there.

The smallside window covers, imo, is what I'd start with.
