This weekend I loaded my JLT/X-Cat Tune from Brenspeed! Thanks to this forum, Ilearned about this easy and affordable mod and have a new level of joy when driving my car. Seems as though I cannot stop fish tailing when going from 1st to 2nd ...anybody have problems keepin thier rearend straight?

Anyways...my question is do you notice a huge difference in performance from 87 tune to 93 tune? I have only run 1 tank on each tune....but couldn't tell any major difference. The tune/intake in general was a big jump...however, haven't switching tunes seems minimal.

Seemed about the same to me too but then I have the same traction challenges you do (woot!)

 

I normally run the 89 tune as 90 is the best gas I can get in eastern NM but whenver I go home to St.Louis or anywhere with 93. I load that tune of corse and I can tell a difference esp mid range and on top. I think its just me but the 89 does feel a little torquier on the bottom end but thats it.

 

maybe its worth using 93 gas and running the 89 tune so your not pushing things to the outter limits of timing advance and whatnots....... make any sense?
