Hard to believe it, the release date was weeks ago, but every dealer I call has none and says they won't get them until next year.......... WTF???? I am not going to place an order for a car I have not driven. I called Ford's customer service line on the website and they say they have started shipping, so there should be some somewhere in Chicago. I have not seen one on the road, and have actually went to 5 dealerships. What's the deal?


Have you guys seen any at dealerships?

 

Everyone ordered the cars, they show up at the dealerships for inspection and get delivered to their new owners. It'll take some time before the orders slow down and dealerships start purchasing them to sell on the lots.

 

A guy I work with went to the dealership the other day, because he saw them taking them off the truck. He test drove a GT and placed an order for it that day-- picking up on the 26th.

Maybe the demand is high in your area, or the shipment hasn't arrived.

 

dammit. I need to drive one.

 

There is some over by me (or so I hear). But someone of the forum just picked him up. So they must be out somewhere. I can't wait till I see one. BTW I seen the new Corvette, and all I can is WOW, what a awesome car.

 

yeah, I saw a C6 also, it is nice, but believe it or not, the a-holes at the dealership added 10k to the price, called it a "market adjustment" THat's why theirs has been sitting for nearly two weeks and no one else is keeping them in stock. Morons.

 

That happens a lot with new cars, hopefully not with the stang. I know the guy I work with got it at a good price, not jacked up or anything.

I just can't wait til he gets it, I wanna take it for a spin!

 

I laughed at the guy at the dealership, out loud. He got kinda pissed, but oh well. Why the *** would I pay you're ignorant a$$ 10 grand more than what the car is supposed to cost? In October nonetheless, so I could drive it for what, 2 weeks before I gotta park it? I hate dealerships that gouge.

 

yea the ONLY ONE the dealship closest to me had was $33,500 it was silver with red leather, it only lasted a day. I havent seen one anywhere else or at any other dealership since then...
