Well guys, I just ordered my first mod. A Hurst shifter from Brenspeed. I cant wait to get it and install it. With this weeks paycheck I should have enough for the CAI and tune as well, and I plan on ordering it from brenspeed too.

Yeah, I plan on buying most of my stuff from there, except the GTA exhaust because I dont think he carries it. Does anyone know how difficult the Hurst shifter install is? I dont have a lift or jack, but my parents own a rental house and the guy who lives there owns a gas station/mechanic shop, im sure he would let me use the list if I needed... or is it best just to have a professional do it?

 

Nope, I did it in my garage in about an hour. I had a floor jack, a lift would have been great. Need a 13mm wrench, I think it was an 11mm socket with a long extension and a 10mm ratcheting reverseing wrench for the front trans bolt. Just a 10mm wrench will do, a bit easier with one that ratchets.
The instructions that come with the kit are very clear to follow. I'd say give it a try. Also put blue lock tight on everything when you put it back together.

Just ordered my Hurst shifter and Pypes Violatos from Brenspeed, cant wait to get them installed. I think buying shares in Brenspeed would be a guaranteed return. I just started modifying my car recently as the warranty is up soon. Everything I have read about Brenspeed is good. Next purchase CAI + tune, Pypes H pipe when weather gets better. Where does it stop?
