Default Hood Help

I am currently shopping for an aftermarket hood. I am looking for a hood that is functional, i.e. ram air, increased air flow to intake, heat extractor, etc. (It doesn't have to have all those things, they were just examples). The problem is I live in Oregon where it rains a LOT and I am worried about getting water and other crap in the engine compartment, intake, etc. Are there any aftemarket hoods you'd recommend?

Cervinis has a couple of nice ones, and RKSport has a nice GTR ram air hood.

Check this site out, you might find one you like. Their hoods are funtional. The bottom of the hood has an air duct leads to the CAI.

allinlet hoods have that potential problem of letting water in. it is a trade off. maybe for living there a functional hood will not really be that much better function for you. if you really want one you can always drill a drain underneath. I have the RK sport cali-dream hood. right before it reaches the CAI I drilled a small hole this way if water does make its way back there it will drip out before it gets a chance to hip my air filter

I have the MRT Cherry 6T6 hood... I was like you, concerned about water getting in... but much to my surprise, hardly any water gets in at all... even after driving in heavy rain! I mean the first time I opend the hood after driving in the rain, I was amazed how dry things were!

I've got the Steeda race cowl - won't help with ram air but excellent heat extraction and reduces uplift.

We've actually had quite a bit of rain the last month+ and I've not had any issues.
Alittle water can get in through the hole where the hood pins come up but a grommet can help with that. While driving, rain can roll over the back of the hood (where the heat extraction vent is) but that has not resulted in an significant water in the engine compartment either.
