Plus, are you supposed to roll down every time you see a cop car?
Yes. Or, if the weather's nice, just have 'em down all the time while you're cruising.

I want to get my windows tinted this summer (any tint on the sides is illegal here), but they recently put in a Tim Horton's (donut/coffee shop, like Krispy Kreme or whatever) a few blocks away from my house on a main road I use a lot, and I've noticed a large increase in the number of cops I see around here now, so we'll have to see. Damn the front plate... Im not drilling holes in my bumper.
That's what I told them in court, in much nicer words though. Had to pay a $75 dollar fine for it. I still haven't put the plate on.

Actualy it looks bad in the pic. The pic is not a good one as I stated. it swings up under and away at any thing over 10 miles an hour and also avoids ripping the plate off. The bumper came with painted fillers in the holes I have not gotten back to the dealer and thier detail dept to get them. I know they keep them in a box on a shelf based on experince with prep/new car dept guys.

From "personal" experience, I can tell you what the ticket is for having ANY tint on the side windows in California... $117!

Got to pay to play, I guess.
Actually, that is the bail/fine amount to pay for an uncorrrected infraction. A tint citation is only a corrective infraction(fix-it ticket), which means that if you remove the tint and have the cite signed off by a police officer, you only pay administrative fees(usually $10-$20). You do have the option of paying the bail/fine and not correcting the infraction. I have done this 3 times within the last year.

I figured it was something like that - so, as long as you pay the $117, they are OK with you keeping the tint? Get tagged for no front plate? You have to correct that, no?
