Decided I don't need it. The car is parked inside the garage most of the time and I have all the bells and whistles on my other two vehicles.

I'd rather spend that kind of money on a nice GPS unit. As for temperature I stick my finger out the window!

aclass::: Yes I did install it myself. The only difficult part was running the temp sensor to the area in front of the radiator and behind the grill. You have to run thru the firewall. I used the grommet that the radio antenna passes thru. The mirror just snaps on the existing mounting on the glass and then you run wire thru the headliner and down the a-pillar to the SJB in the passenger kick panel. As I remember, you can get a set of instrructions from the Gentek website before you order to see what is involved.

I just got my 07 GT/CS and I'm trying to move my homelink mirror from my 06 to my 07. Someone onhere had wiring info for the change from the factory auto dim w/o homelink to connect the homelink with the factory wiring, and I'll be darned if I can find it. Also does anyone have a tip
on taking the factory mounting off, I cant seem to figure out how to release it to slide it off the part that is permantly fixed to the glass?? HELP...

The Ford dealer in Richmond, where I purchased my car, quoted me a price of $1400 to install the "factory" mirror with homelink/temp gauge/compass. I decided to pass.
Which dealer was that so I know to stay away from them? I'm in Richmond myself.
