If you were to take your mufflers off would that cause problems with back pressure? Would it cause problems with any sensors or your computer. I have heard of that happening. I have seen a topic where somebody has taken their mufflers off but can't find the forum. I would appreciate anyones opinions.

Wouldn't cause problems. The sound probably won't be what you want it to be. you would gain about 2HP and lose 2-3TQ with less BP.

I have had mine off for over 6 months and I've had no issues. I commute 5 days a week for a total of 65 miles a day. I've noticed no change in HP, gas mileage, back pressureor torque. On my V6, it sounds mean and loud. I don't think I would ever put my IMCO back on, I like it this way. But this isn't permanent, I intend on having an actual exhaust system in the future...BORLA preferrably.

WHY NOT GET SLP LOUDMOUTH AND ELIMINATE THE MUFFLERS THAT WAY?

I pulled mine off just jilly-flickin' around before I put my violators on. Sounds rough. Nothing to support the exhaust pipes so you would hear them banging above the axle.

Nothing an exhaust hanger and clamp won't fix.

Also, welding an extender and nice chrome pipe on to make it look like you have something there would help. Otherwise, it looks ****ty.

wrong, backpreasure is wrong in any way shape or form, try running a mile while breathing through a straw, thats backpreasure, you do however, want your exhaust to get pulled out of the pipe with a certain velocity, for this, try running the same mile through a 1" tube, you can blow it out and breath in no problem, next get something like a sewer pipe and try breathing through it like that, you will notice that the air will get stuck in the tube and you cant get it out, thats having no velocity and having to work harder to push it all out, that is having no velocity

ive yet to see a car be slower from a upgraded exhuast
