Default New 07 owner...

Hello All!

I've been a Mustang fanatic for about 20 years ( I've owned a ton of them). I just recently sold my pride and joy 03 Mach1 and picked up a 07 GT. By far the most comfortable Mustang I've ever owned. In reading some of these posts and seeing pictures of some of your Mustangs, I am stunned on just how good some of your cars look. I can't wait to get after adding some goods to mine...

awesome bro! time to get started on some mods

how would you say the GT compares to the Mach? seat of the pants feel, fun to drive, etc?

GT vs Mach you ask? :-)

Two completely different cars is the best way I could put it. The Mach makes you drive it, the GT drives you. My Mach had the shaker raised, gears, full magnaflow and intake. It pulled like a beast up in the higher revs. The GT is better low-mid range than the Mach. Over allmy Machwas a little quicker than the GT, but stock for stock it's a drivers race.

Fun to drive aspect? Man that's a tough one. Personally, for me,being comfortable in the Mach was next to impossible(knee surgery years ago). When I would put the Mach away for the night I was beat (that car makes you work for that smile). It's the perfect design for a gearhead. The GT makes me smile the minute I sit down in it (i've owned a 65, 84, 86, 89, 95, 03) and to me, the GTtruly is the best mustang ever. The ride is fantastic, the interior is huge, it plants it's feet a little better than the Mach though the Mach is a little easier to throw around, and best of all, I can not wait to start modding it. In short, the Mach is a ton of motor in a good car, and the GT is a ton of motor in a great car.

The Mach's motorfrom the factory is a tight machine. There are some things you can do to it for a lot of money, but Ford pretty much nailed it when it left the factory. The GT on the other hand has a TON of stuff available and without question the 3v's potential is stunning.

Do I miss the Mach? A little. It was a beast, but I've had the GT about a week and a half now and it is without question, in my opinion, and for me, the better car.
