I would really like to get the hood pins that are on the Shelby Mustangs. Can anyone get me the part number(s) for these? I been looking all over and cant seem to find it. Thanks!

They are just the FRPP hood pins and can be gotten from many venders cheaper than what Shelby sells them for. Ck with Jegs.com

WoW!!!!!!! Those things arn't cheap! I emailed fordparts.com to hopefully get a part number. Maybe I'll be able to get them from the dealer way lower. If not I found these: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/ite...?T1=M16700A+01

Those are the Ford Racing ones, thats the cheapest place I could find online.

Thanks!

Has anyone seen black hood pins or painted theirs black? I think it would match mine better than something polished.

The reason the Shelby pins area little more expensive is because they come with brackets that just bolt on to factory bolts so that you dont have to drill into your radiator support......i have them and it was a whole lot easier then having to worry about where to drill my radiator support and where to drill the hood.....IMHO the less drilling of your car you have to do the better!!

Slinky--I bought a set of hood pins at Advance auto parts for 18.00 bucks.they did not come with the cables like the shelby ones do...Also to install them you must drill a hole in your radiator support. The shelby uses a bracket that mounts under the cover for the radiator. It has a slot cut in it for the brackets to come thrrough.

So these shelby ones will go in exactly the right spot, only needing to drill the radiator cover? No welding, no drilling into any metal? There are existing hole for the pins to go onto? Please elaborate as now I am very interested in these. Thanks!

Slinky.......if you get the Shelby hood pins.....you do not have to drill into your radiator support. You only have to drill your hood. The pins bolt onto the brackets(that are supplied) and the brackets bolt on to your radiator support where there are already factory bolts.
