Requirements for lowering
I know there are probably 20 threads about lowering a Mustang, but I figure it's easier to just ask out in the forum. I've had crummy luck looking up things in the search function in the past so....
What all is required when lowering a Mustang? Obviously the springs, but I've seen panhard bars and lower control arms. Are the latter two necessary? I don't intend on racing my car or driving it super hard since it's my daily driver. I'm just contemplating lowering it for looks mainly. Input please?
Also, how much of a gearhead do you have to be to do the installation? And has anyone had problems with lifts/jacks when getting work done on their car afterwards? How does this affect the warranty on the suspension etc?
Sorry it's a lot of questions!

you can pretty much kiss your suspension warranty goodbye at most dealers (here come all the Moss-Magnuson blah-blah posts)
besides springs, to do it right you need the following -
adjustable panhard bar - to re-center the rear end *many mustangs have been found with the rears up to 1/2" off from the factory*
camber bolts - to get rid of the negative camber you will likely have - how much depends on how low you go
adjustable lower control arms - to correct your pinion angle
a set of struts/shocks is a good idea but more a comfort issue for the time being if youre tight on funds
if you don't know what you're doing you can get hurt bad pulling the front apart yourself.

It only took me and a friend 45 minutes to install the springs. As far as warranty it has never been an issue for me after 2 years. I did have a problem withmy low profile jack once when I was jacking from the engine support bracket and the jack slipped off and went through my radiator and fan shroud well I ended up getting a High performance aluminum radiator that holds 2 more gallons of coolant and has no plastic parts anotherpreparation for my Supercharger in my near future
just get this package offered by bmr, it has all the neccessary parts to make ur drop more of a performance gain as well a looks

Just did mine. It's an easy install. I have never done anything to do with suspension before, but have a good mechanical background. It was simple and took about 3 hours, cause I was moving slow and just double checking and chatting with the other guys in the garage at the same time. All you really need is the Spring Kit, an adjustable panhard bar (no matter how low, just get one), Camber bolts. If you want to do it yourself, I read and followed the instructions here... http://www.stangnet.com/Tech-Article...ll-061222.html
Then of course go get yourself an alignment and you're done.

You can start with just the basic set-up like mentioned above camber bolts and ajustable panhard rod. But you have to remember any time you do anything to the front end you will have to fork over the money for another alignment.[:@]
