looks cool but im wondering if water will go straight onto my intake with a ram air hood. Its unprotected unlike the stock box. Seems like it could get wet in the air. Got any customers that already have it and have a centi supercharger?

is the hood popped on that suncoast hood? the leading edge of the hood doesn't match up evenly with the body.

What is the different between that hood on the white vert and the blue one?
And why is the$175 price different?

Default Questions

The one hood that is a higher cost is produced by a different manufacturer. With our new hood line up, it's doubtful the higher cost ones will sell.

We just added this line so can't say that we have any customers running superchargers with them.

Any water that comes through the hood would probably just be droplets. If you are concerned, you could easily fabricate a piece to direct the water from landing right on top of an open element air cleaner.

The Suncoast one just looks like the body shop that installed it didn't spend much time lining things up. That's a skill that some places don't invest time in doing right.

There will be some more hoods added in the next few days so be sure to check our catalog

I really like the 429 hood. Just want to make sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that the fit is perfect. I see too many new stangs around here with aftermarket kits that either don't fit right at all or were installed by some knuckle-dragger and look like a bag of door *****!!! Sorry...OCD when it comes to my car!

When installing a hood, it is critical that the body shop (or whoever is doing the install) spends some time to properly line all the gaps up. That's what makes a hood look OEM instead of tacked on.

Body kits are a whole different story and require A TON of bodywork to look good.

I am stoked that there are more options now for a "functional ram air" hood besides the GTR hood and the California Dream hood. I like the classic look of some of these designs. How much heavier than the stock alluminum hood are they? The 429 one for instance?
