Default Intake whistle

Hello all,
Just curious- when getting on the gas (not flooring it), does everyones CAI kinda whistle?? I'm just trying to make sure that this isnt a problem and that it should make this sound. From what I understand, late model 06's do not have an air silencer, so im guessing this could be the cause.
PS- ive had the car for just a lil over a week now, so im just being safe. []

Do you have an aftermarket intake or the stock airbox? Every car ive had that i put and after market intake on you could hear a whistle sound on accelration. It's just the tube sucking in all that air.

On a 95 Mustang I installed an aftermaket air intake setup that had a whistle/hiss type sound. (no leaks, I checked) I figured it was the smooth tube to the filter. Put on the serrated type stock intake back on and no noise. I'm not going to say all aftermarket ones do it but the cheap one I got off Ebay did. I did read long ago that's why stock air cleaner setups are serrated type for noise reduction.

I have a stock Aribox and I hear the whistle all the time. I'm guessing it's normal.
