Default Bummer!

Heading out for lunch - this bitch pulled out quick, in heavy traffic, making a left hand turn from a parking lot to my right... RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!
There was no where for me to swerve to with traffic on both sides of me.. and not enough room to stop!

WAM!

I smacked her right in the drivers side rear wheel.

GOOD thing I was in my Explorer (it is supposed to storm this afternoon, so I left the stang at home!)

Broke my grill, mashed my bumper flat and boogered up my fender wells where the bumper bent into them.

The cop gave the girl a ticket for "Failure to Yield" and "Improper Registration"...

Bad enough, but good thing it wasn't the 'stang. Or worse, the bike. You could have been hurt. Also good that she got a ticket. Her insurance company shouldn't give you any trouble.

Oh yea...

It made me giggle... Like the second or third sentence she said while tellling her version to the cop was "I thought I could make it"... to which the cop replied, "YEA, It looks like you didn't make it!" and then the cop told her, "Maybe this will teach you to be more careful!".

It is a rather sickning fealing to be in that situation, were you quickly realize there is absolutely nothing you can do but mash the brakes and prepar for impact!

Glad you are okay Prof!

I'm sure you totaled her car too. Nice near t-bone to the rear of a car with a heavy SUV. So did you spin her around?

I hate people that are so friggin impatient! Who's her insurance company? Depending on who they are they may either be great or terrible to deal with even though it wasn't your fault.
