Thats not true. I said they looked gay from the beginning. Well, after they f'ed it all up from the concept. That I liked. Then I saw that tanker ship only had 300hp. Bah. I said low 14's. People argued with me. Look for the post.

I too expected better, congrats on the 13 slip, but I think with some good mods it's going to do better, and I like the way they look (old school), although it needs a hood scoop.

Congratulations!!! I think all these members with all the negative comments are just Jealous. Remember, most of your rides where a lot slower factory stock and I'm willing to bet you are going to start seeing lower ets once more owners start tacking theirs to the track. Me for one I'm going to wait until I get a better feel for the RPM range and response before taking mine to the track. After driving '87 to 93 5.0 for the past 15 years it'll tak a while before I get used to the modular 4.6.

I never said they were slow Only that they didn't live up to the hype. Their GREAT cars and are CERTAINLY faster than all previous GT models... but not by much - I'd say .1 - .2 quicker et's at best.

There is no reason that car can't hang with an LS1. It's not even close. It just bothers me that Ford doesn't care about performance cars. Instead, they'd rather build fast useless 2WD pick up trucks that nobody gives a **** about. But no...They can't make their flagship hotrod keep up with the other stuff on the street. It's almost like they're just rubbing it in people's faces. It's slow, and we'll still sell an assload of them.
What about the gt40.

They built a supercar! Yay! Your average Joe can sure get one of those. "Sorry hunny, we're living in the car from now on."

Can't you smite him Erik? Ban!

I was thinking about purchasing one. $145000. Wher can you get one for that? 50k to 100k over retail. You said you hated ford, just wondering what you thought of it.
