Default Problem with electronics

So I decided to enjoy some fine weather we're having today by taking my 2007 Mustang to work. I've driven it only a handful of times this winter the last time being a few weeks ago (everything was fine). The first problem I noticed was that I could not unlock the door with my key fob. So, thinking my fob was shot, I grabbed my wife's. Same problem. I decided to try starting it up anyway, but when I turn the key the dashboard lights flash and the engine does not turn over. Since I needed to get to work, I didn't have time to start diagnosing anything. Any suggestions on what might be wrong or what I should be checking when I get home tonight?

Thanks!

Dead battery. These mustangs, atleast my mustang, seems to drain the battery whennot driven.

do you have the shaker 1000 radio? seems like alot of people were having trouble with it draining the battery if it was left on when you turned the car off. try charging the battery and always turn the radio off when you park it. thats what i do and no problems yet. do a search on here on dead batterys and other people might have other things to add.

Definatly sounds like a dead battery. Have heard issues with the shaker 1000 amps draining the battery.

Yep, you'll have to put a battery charger on it. Be careful when shutting the the door as the window will not go down with a dead battery. Make sure and always turn off the radio before you park the car for long periods of time.

Thanks to everyone who responded! You were dead on regarding the problem. I do have the Shaker radio, it had been on, and the battery was totally dead. I couldn't even start it with a jump. But I left it charging for a while and then she started right up.

Really appreciate your help. You saved me a lot of stress and money I'm sure.
