07 or 08, help me decide
I just don't know! Will the options for 08 be the same? Will there be a lower finance rate this spring/summer?
Colors? Wheels? Engine a 4.6 or 5.0?
Or should I just get one or order one now?

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Ford will offer the same deal they did last year....0% for 72 on 06'. but this year will be the 07's. bank on it. around September/October time. i'd wait for that. a hell of a deal. Spend the extra cash you'll save on the finance charges on ford factory mods. intake, exhaust, whatever.

Its sure tempting to buy right now with the nice weather and all. The dealers here in Vegas really don't have the features I want: red, red seats, all interior upgrades, no hook shake, no rolled exaust, black factory stripe, factory alarm upgrade, bright machined cast aluminum wheel upgrade, shaker 1000.
I can order now but from what I read here, it can be 2-8 months before I take delivery [sm=bangbang.gif]
Heck, I may take a chance and go for it an hope it arrives during the 0 financing! Fall here in Vegas is just like spring.
But really, any insights as to the differences for 08?
How long did the 0% last last year and was it only for the currrent model years and did it include ordered cars?
I hear if you order after fools day, you get an 08.

I think the order bank for the 07 models will close sometime in May and the order bank for the 08 should open a week or two after that. Plaing an order now wouldn't take as long as what you think. When the 05 came out, I got mine 2 days shy of 8 months from the order date. You should have yours now at the most in 2 months.

Remember most of the 0% are for what's on the lot and the old model year. Meaning 07 for the fall. 08's will be different %. Plus rebates/incentives will be for the old model year andwhat's on the lot too. Myself I wanted a special color with certain options and didn't want a car sitting on a lot getting acid rain/dirty for 6 months. So ordering was my only option so I waited until the begining of last April to order my 07.

I got lucky. Back in Dec. I went to the Ford Dealership to purchase an E-350 15 foot fiberglass shell for my business. I told the guy I wanted to purchase a Mustang as well. I went outside and looked on the lot to see what I wanted. Everything they had was an automatic.....I wanted manual. He looked online and saw the exact car I wanted, still on a car carrier at another dealership. I said, "Go get my car!"
At that time Ford was offering the $1000 rebates on '07 Mustangs. Along with that plus the fact I was purchasing another vehicle, plus had an alike vehicle, plus a friend's X-plan, it helped to reduce the total amount for two vehicles.
I paid it all in cash......so I owe nothing.
For the amount I paid, I could have bought the Saleen or Shelby, but then I would only have one vehicle......not two.
