Default Exhaust Questions

Hey 05ers, no i didnt get an 05, but my buddy has one, and hes going to be getting a full exhaust done or bought. I had some questions.

1. What brand mufflers mix awesome sound with good performance (or just which ones offer the best flow)

2. Which would be better,
a. Buying headers, putting them on, and having a shop do the rest,
or b. Buying a full exhaust and either having the shop weld it up, or putting it in at home.

thanks guys

1. I'm partial to the Corsa axle-backs. They sound awesome and I love the beveled look of the tips. As far as power, you're not really going to get any power out of any axle-backs (even though i've heard of Corsas gaining 10hp on a dyno...not that i attest to that nor do i back it).

2. If you're capable of putting headers on, then you're more than capable of doing the full exhaust at home. It doesn't need to be welded.

go to www.mustangexhaust.com and look in the sound section...exhaust isnt really going to give you more power its just a preference of how you like the sound of it

if you want loud i would go with slp...deep would be bassani

imo corsa sounds good but for almost $700 its not worth it

IMO...the thing to be aware of that I didnt know before.... most aftermarket axle backs have a drone around 1800-2000 rpm..... I first had a mangflow magnapack and couldn't stand the drone... was mind splitting..... swapped to the Corsa... IMO they sound better and are quite while cruising... they can be had for less than 600.. I paid 560total.... they are of great quality and have beautiful 4" rolled tips.....
