Default xcal 2 question

is there a limit to the amount of times you retune your car with the xcal 2 because if you scroll to the screen that list your current tune, stock or aftermarket at the top it says something about "five tunes left" does anyone know what this means?

ok thanks moses i have a feeling it may refer to the # of times you load a custom tune onto the xcal itself, not the vehicle. but then again that would be bs. keep me posted thanks

I was told that you can change back to your stock tune or any other tunes you have as many times that you want, that the 5 changes you have would be if you were going to use it on another car and you change the processor code to another code, each time you change it would count as a change.

its really simple just plug it in with ignition off and follow the on screen directions . Did you get it from brenspeed, if not I believe you can buy them from them and they will email or mail the tunes you desire. The 87 tune from them is amazing, i am not willing to spend 20 cents more a gallon for the 93 tune these days. good luck

Ive had my car since july of 05. Ive used 93 since day 1. My tuner has the 87 tune in it. Whats the best way to change over. Get it to almost empty. Fill up with 87 and then flash it or flash it then fill up.

First run it down to 10 miles to empty or so, then fill up with good premium, then drive it home to get the good gas in and load your new tune & have fun. If you load the tune first you could get some pinging & maybe a check engine light.
