Default Lowered with 24mm offset???

I have tried searching with no real answer. I currently have gt500 wheels on my car with a 24 mm offset and 255/45/18 BFG KDW. I've seen one guy who was running +24mm offset shelby razors with a 255/35/20 tire and steeda lowering springs, which according to the tire size estimator is pretty much exactly the same size as my setup. I want to put the steeda ultra springs on mine but am obviously worried about rubbing. Is there anybody out there that can give me some current info on whether or not this setup will work???? Thank you in advance.

Are you talking traction or poke?

I have FRPP springs which is almost a 2 inch drop and 265/35 on my GT500. You can lower you car with no problems as those springs are not going to drop you as much as mine did. I would maybe go wider and a 40 instead of 45.

Yes they do stick out the sides a little bit, but I think it looks really good. That is my concern though....if I lower it I'm afraid I may rub since they stick out. HOWARMAT.....are your wheels 24mm offset? They don't look like they stick out at all??? Am I wrong?? I used the tire size estimator to check the dimensions on a 275/35/18 and I would have created an extra inch and a half of wheel gap........so if I lowered it with say, the Eibach pro kit, I would still have more wheel gap than before I lowered it. Thats why Iwent with the 45 instead of the 35.

You should have the 50 offset and not the 24. With the 24 they will stick out quite a bit more once you get wider. As for the gap. There is quite a bit less than i had before changing the wheels and springs.

You have already seen 255 with 24mm offset. Cylyne, a.k.a. "cluless girl", is my wife. But here is the pic anyway with my car too!! VW FTW!!
