Made my own by cutting the stock antenna. No loss of signal strength at all. Topped it off with a rubber screw thread cover (size #8)to make it look store bought ($0.39 investment).
American muscle is the place to go for little gadgets like that. Look into the 14 inch....... Flows with the roof line better IMO!
+1. That's where I got mine as well (but a 14") and I also agree with the size thing. Definitely consider a 14" antenna.
What I did was took thin strips of masking tape (or some other color you can see very easily) then put them around my antenna at 8", 12" (another one I was looking into getting from somewhere else) and 14". Then sit in your car, sit in the passenger seat, walk all around it, look at it from a distance, etc, and you can see what you like the looks of much more easily.
I initially thought I wanted to go with an 8" antenna, but after comparing the height to the 14" I decided the longer antenna looked way better and flowed a lot nicer with the lines of the car. The 8" looks great in pictures on here that people have of their Mustangs, but in person I wasn't a fan of that look.
