I would have to know where it is rubbing out how far from the front of the carstarting out at the latch on the hood, but yes there is alot of under hood clearance.

We're doing a Saleen blower on a car at my work with the Cervini and hit clears fine. Some othe aftermarket hoods I have seen rub in both the front and back near the throttle body.

It rubs here (see pic):

Looks like it's rubbing towards the front where the TB attatches.

The only aftermarket hood I'd use is the Saleen aluminum. You can add all sorts of scoops and such to your stock hood to change the look but, I for one, would never consider going fiberglass. They're heavier than our stockers and if they're not, then they're too thin. They will flex more and the paint is more likely to crack from closing the hood, I've seen it many times. They will also shake more at speed.
The Saleen hood looks nice but I've only seen it list at over $1,000. Anywhere else cheaper?

Yeah, the Saleen hood is like $1500. Crazy if you ask me but there are really limited options. There are alot of scoops and such out there, are you sure your wife doesn't like any of them ? Try Ponybuilder.com

Yeah, my favorite is also the Saleen hood with those aluminum heat extractors.
I think it really looks bitchin', but not worth $1500 (not to me at least)!
